Nate on iTunes - 8/5/07
It took 4 months, but my album Daylight is now available on iTunes! This is very exciting not only because it will hopefully lead to more listeners, but also because it's just fun to search my name and see my songs come up. The cover, designed by Shawn Hickman, is also up there, making the package complete. Everyone should go check it out just because why not! Plus, now you can all tell your friends about me, and when they say, who the heck is that, you can say "check him out on itunes". Simple.
In other news...I'm hoping to get some new music up on MySpace for your listening pleasure. I know I know, it's been awhile since I've changed it up. It's coming.
Also, I'm working on a lot of new music with the hopes of starting the recording process on a new album in September or October. More news to come...
That's it for now folks. Now go search me on iTunes! It's awfully fun.
Solo CD "Daylight" now FOR SALE! - 4/5/07
Here it is. The moment you've all been waiting for. My solo CD "Daylight" is finished and for sale! I just got them on Tuesday, and they look and sound great. This marks the completion of what has been a 14-month ordeal that started as a senior project for the engineers/producers of the album (Rob, Eric, and Matt).
I can't wait to share the music with everyone, so here's how you get it.... they are $10, and I will be selling them at all the shows listed on my page here, and at the open mic I run (Mondays, 8-10 at the Gryphon in Wayne) In the next week or two they will also be available at CDbaby.com for those of you who can't get out to see me play in the near future.
And finally, I am working on getting the tracks up on iTunes. I'll announce that when it happens. So pick up a CD and share it with all your friends.
"Alone In Downtown Memphis" - 3/29/07
Okay, so it took me more than a week to get this new song up here, give me a freaking' break people. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m always running late. You’ll get used to it.
"Alone In Downtown Memphis" summarizes in song the trip my friend Bill took to Memphis last September. The song is pretty self-explanatory considering its one long story, but unfortunately I did have to leave out some details to fit it all into one easy to swallow song.
This recording, like the recording up here of "Moving On", was done quickly in one or two takes, but I couldn't wait to share this with people...in particular Bill who hasn't heard this yet. So please enjoy my version of Bill's story. And to Bill.... I look forward to more inspiring and potentially embarrassing stories to steal for my songs haha.
